mini bus taxis

mini bus taxis

Taken mid-Sea Point. Mini-bus taxis are the de facto public transportation in significant parts of Cape Town. They have set routes but no set stops in many cases. You flag them down on the route, get on, pay the reasonable fare and tell them where you want to get off.

In Sea Point they’re particularly prominent. You hear their honking (“hooting” in local parlance) and the man shouting “Cape Town” or outbound destinations like “Camps Bay”, depending on direction all up and down the main road.
