long street baths

long street baths

The Long Street Baths were built in 1908. One half is the pool and the other is the Turkish baths, which are open to each sex on alternating days. The pool itself is a blast from the past; it has a fading mural on one side and rarely used stands on the other side. The length of the pool is, I believe, a non-standard 100feet (30.5m). The Turkish baths have a steam room, a sauna, a relaxation room and a small cold pool. Your entrance fee of about $12 also includes the use of a small cordoned-off bed, a towel and a bar of soap. The entrance fee for the pool side is a little less than $2.
