road trip day 6: port st. john’s to kei mouth
The day started and ended on the Wild Coast with a bit inland between the two. After a couple hours on the beach in the morning, we packed up and headed out. Driving through the lush green mountains, one still had a strong sense of the hard times many of the surrounding Xhosa villages were going through. Kei Mouth (the same Kei from which the Transkei gets its name) is just about idyllic; the walk on the beach was peaceful and gorgeous.
