The Cape Dutch style is still quite common around here, particularly in older buildings. This is an original manor house on the oldest wine estate in South Africa, Groot Constania, which is actually within the City of Cape Town[1].

On a technical note, architecture photographers like all their lines to be parallel and use things like tilt-shift lenses or software to correct converging/ diverging lines like you see here. I sort of like the effect, though.
