I’m Adrian Bischoff and this is my photoblog. I want to encourage myself to take photos, so that’s why I’m starting this. I currently live in Cape Town but lived in San Francisco for six years before that with a short stint in Taipei as well.

Photoapparat (sometimes spelled Fotoapparat) is “camera” in German. I always liked the word and often refer to my camera by that term, even in English conversation.

My current kit is:

  • Nikon D80
  • Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8
  • Nikon 20mm f/2.8 DX
  • Nikon 50mm f/1.4

I also shoot on film (Velvia, Tri-X 400 or Neopan 400) occasionally with:

  • Nikon N70
  • Yashica A TLR
  • Lomo fisheye
  • Polaroid Sun 660 [though I'm not out of film]

I have no relation to the German photographer of the same name.
